Long time passed since last blog, but here is my partial process of sequencing a book that may be finished one day.

Spheres for MAX A5

It's that time of year again when 40+ artists are busy finishing their works for the 2015 show of MAX A5 - including myself. This year I'm showing 7 new works in the Spheres series.

The 2015 exhibition will take place on Saturday 7 November, 11-16 at Galleri TYS, Studiestræde 13B, Copenhagen. See FB for event.

Hjemstavn is going to 'A Wonderful World' in NEES

Grupperingen Hjemstavn will have one piece in the censured exhibition at NEES. 'Vasketøj' was selected by the jury to be on show opening on Thursday 29 May in Vemb (west jutland). See invitation on FB

MAX A5 in list of 50 unique things of Copenhagen

I always knew MAX A5 was a small great thing, and when I saw us on the list of 50 unique things about Copenhagen I said to Laura, we better get a date in the calendar for 2014. Here it is: 22 November. And look at the issue below, we're no. 22 on the list!

MAX A5 - the 2013 show

It's the time of year again where I organize the MAX A5 art exhibition and sales with Laura and Tina. This is our third year of putting on this one-day event, and I think I can safely say that this is now an established fixture of the November art scene in Copenhagen. This year we have 55 artists showing and selling 320 pieces of art across photography, text, collage, drawing, embroidery, ceramics, sculpture and more.

I will show 6 pieces from the Japan series, and have also made a pixie size book.

HJEMSTAVN will be coming home

Less than a week to go before our 1-day event where the works of Grupperingen Hjemstavn will come back to where it all started: the gallery at Værnedamsvej. This event has been a long time in the making, and several obstacles and 'benspænd' mean that it is more than two and a half year ago these works were last on show. Since then they have been stored away in bubble wrap and brown paper, and I am starting to get that tingling feeling of excitement thinking of what it will be like to see them all again. And it is not just seeing the finished works again that I'm excited about, it is also revisiting all the events and life changing moments that happened while we were working on the HJEMSTAVN project; like meeting my father for the first time. Anyway, before I get carried away; if you are in the area on Saturday 5 October between 12 and 6 pm, then stop by at KONTOR Project, Værnedamsvej 7A - in addition to finally showing the works in Copenhagen, we will also auction the artist prints from the collection.

Spheres for MAX A5

Only five days till the MAX A5 event. We have more than 320 works by 56 artists that will be exhibited for one day. I will show 7 new works in a series called Spheres.

MAX A5 again

It is true, MAX A5 will be be open for one day only again this year; Saturday 24 Nov at KONTOR gallery, Værnedamsvej 7A. This year with 56 participants and 330 pieces on show. MAX A5 is organized by Laura Eriksen and Tina Brok Hansen and me (she said). Event on FB if you want to stop by on the day. My talented ceramist and ceramics collecter friend Carsten Groth will have 8 mini monsters in MAX A5 sizes.

Theresa plays pencilophon

Signe Vad at Black Box Gallery

I went to see Signe Vad's exhibition 'Dagen fik alt til at skifte' at Black Box Gallery today. There are so many layers in Signe's work and I'm sure that I've probably not even seen or peeled back a quarter of them. In the back room of the gallery is a video which is so simple, yet so powerful. To see more of Signe's work check out her website.

This is Africa now on show

It is always a very special feeling to leave the show room after installing a project to be on show for the first time, and then return a few days later for the opening and seeing how people react and respond to my images. The turnout was amazing, after all it is not exactly central Copenhagen, and to have so many people make the effort and time to come was so so nice. The exhibition is open through May 28, for opening hours see Annaborg.

Picking up the 10 images for This is Africa on Tuesday morning from Tytter. Will see them all on the walls that afternoon. I will have 2 square rooms facing the containers in the area behind the building. Perfect spot for the reflections I hope they will make. If you have time, come by around 19.30 /7.30 pm to see the images and have a glass of wine. Address is Annaborg, Hillerød (left of the castle).

Linda Hansen blogging

You can now view some of Linda Hansen's past work on her new blog, plus a fabulous morning image of her family made for Københavner. Hopefully she will also share some of her new and ongoing work as she gets into regular blogging.

Back from Oz and MAX A5

I came home with 24 rolls of film from the trip to Western Australia and I've been pouring over contact sheets the past three days - very exciting!

And as if that wasn't enough excitement, we've had 50+ artists accept our invitation for the MAX A5 art and sales exhibition at KONTOR gallery. We spent most of Friday afternoon and evening registering all the artwork for the show; there is so much good work and it will be a great exhibtion [where everything will be for sale at prices between 100 and 350 DKK].

The MAX A5 event will take place on Saturday 26 Nov, 11-16 at KONTOR gallery, Værnedamsvej 7A - stop by if you're in the neighbourhood that day, and buy some great art for yourself or family/friends.
